The Colony Restaurant
The ‘heart’ of the Protea Hotel Balalaika and renowned for it’s Full English and Continental buffet breakfast, The Colony restaurant overlooks the beautiful garden and swimming pool and is open for breakfast from Monday to Friday from 06h00 to 10h30 and Saturday and Sunday from 06h00 to 11h00. The Colony Restaurant can be used for lunch or dinner as a part of a Day Conference Package.
The Oval Coffee Shop
The Oval Coffee Shop is located in the Protea Hotel Balalaika lobby and offers a variety of light meals. Cakes, pastries and specialty coffees are also available. Open seven days a week from 09h00 to 21h00.
Lords Cigar Bar
Lords Cigar Bar is a refined Lounge bar, decorated in luxurious solid wood furnishings, chandeliers, and rich plush upholstery. A vast variety drinks are available and hot savories are served daily at 17h00. International cigars from all over the world are imported. Choose one from specially designed cigar menu.
Crown Court Lounge
The Crown Court Lounge is a sophisticated airy lounge, beautifully appointed with a languid English Country atmosphere, complete with an open-hearth fireplace which is lit throughout the winter months. The Crown Court Lounge boasts its own private bar, which is open on request. Situated in the vicinity of the Lounge is a secluded change room, complete with shower and adjoining bathroom. This is ideal for either very early arrivals, or very late departures.
Balalaika Pool & Terrace

After their exercise, guests can enjoy a steam bath or take a shower in the Ladies or Men’s change and shower rooms, with towels supplied. Protea Hotel Balalaika offers this service to it’s guests at no additional charge and it is open daily between 04h00 and 21h00. In the interests of safety, children under 16 years need to be accompanied by an adult.
