DAY 1: FROM THE WILDERNESS TO THE CIVILIZATION |
We shall by following the historical and geographical process of the entrance of the children of Israel to the land of Canaan in Joshua's time. We shall visit "Abraham's Tent" and talk about the ancestors of the Israelite nation. We will experience a camel ride Continue to Jericho, one of the world's oldest cities, just before entering the Palestinian. From there we will continue to the traditional tomb of the prophet Samuel, overlooking the city of Gibeon, The day ends with a visit to Emmaus, the city of Cleophas, where Jesus was revealed for the first time after his resurrection. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and evening lecture: Desert, Frontier, and the Populated Lands: How Climate and Geography Dictate the Way of Life in Each Region. |

DAY 2: THE JUDAEN MOUNTAINS AND LOWLANDS |
Begin the day in the Sataf biblical agricultural park. Visit the ancient "stairs" Continue to "the Scrolls of Fire," a monument describing the Holocaust and the creation of the State of Israel. Continue to Beit Shemesh, overlooking the Valley of Soreq, to recall the story of Samson and the return of the Holy Ark from the fields of the Philistines. After lunch continue to the Ha'ela Valley to recall the story of David and Goliath. Continue to the ancient Philistine city of Ekron. Visit the restoration of a Philistine street. Return to Jerusalem. Evening lecture: City of God, House of God, City of Kings, House of Kings in Ancient Near East Cultures. |

DAY 3: BETHLEHEM AND KING DAVID'S JERUSALEM |
After crossing to the Palestinian Authority territory we begin the day with a visit to Bethlehem, where both Jesus and King David were born. Visit the Church of the Nativity and Rachel's Tomb. Continue to Shepherd's Field, the traditional place from which the Three Wise Men saw the Star of Bethlehem and came to congratulate the newborn King. Read texts from the Book of Ruth Continue to Jerusalem. Visit sites of archaeological importance from biblical times, including: the City of David, the Israelite Tower, the Broad Wall, Herodian Quarter, Roman and Byzantine Cardo, and the Crusader Mall. Afternoon visit to a model of Jerusalem in the 2 nd Temple period. Evening lecture: The Sanctification of Jerusalem. |

DAY 4: CHRISTIAN JERUSALEM |
Begin the day by overlooking Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, where Jesus entered the Holy City. Walk down the mountain to Dominus Flavit, the Church of Gethsemane. Enter the Old City of Jerusalem via "St. Stephen's Gate." Visit the Pool of Bethesda and the traditional place of the birth of St. Ann. Continue to the Via Delorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Garden Tomb, and the model of Jerusalem during Jesus' time. Evening lecture: The Essenes and the Dead Sea Scrolls. |

DAY 5: |
Morning drive to the Dead Sea. Visit Qumran, the home of the Essenes, and where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue to Masada for the story of the Jewish revolt and the religious beliefs of the zealots in Jesus' time Return to hotel for lecture on Masada and the Destruction of the 2nd Temple. |

DAY 6: |
Drive via the Jordan Valley to the ancient Roman city of Beit Shean, one of the cities of the "Decapolis" where Jesus' fame traveled. Continue to Nazareth and the Church of the Annunciation and Mary's Well. Continue to Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle. Overnight in Nazareth. Evening lecture: Jesus in the Galilee. |

DAY 7: |
Morning drive around the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee. Visit Capernaum, the Jewish city that became Jesus' home town. Continue to Mount of Beatitude, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Lecture on Redemption and the "Kingdom" in the Teachings of Jesus. Visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Fishes and the Loaves in Tabka. Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee from Capernaum to Ein Gev. For lunch, a wonderful taste of the local St. Peter's fish in Kibbutz Ein Gev. After lunch drive along the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee to Kursy, where Jesus performed the exorcism, casting evil spirits to pigs. Continue to a newly-discovered site assumed to be the feeding of the multitudes. Continue on to Bethsaida and Korazin, two cities mentioned in Jesus' Lamentations. Return to Nazareth. In the evening, a concluding lecture. |

DAY 8: |
Drive from Nazareth to Megiddo and the Valley of Armageddon. Continue to Mount Carmel, where Elijah put on a contest between the prophets of Ba'al and the God of Israel. Drive north via the Coastal Road. Visit the Herodian city of Caesaria, where St. Peter spoke to the Centaurian and from which St. Paul was taken to his trial in Rome. Continue to Jaffa and visit the house of Simon the Tanner and the place where St. Peter revived Tabitha. |
