Education & Conservation in The Pearl of Africa

Uganda currenlty has one of the most successful conervation stories with the crtically endagered Mountain Gorillas increasing in number according to the laested census figures realased in Deccember 2019. This is in part due to a concerted and co-ordinate effort between local leaders who live in and around areas where contact with Mountain Gorillas can happen, private organisations who do a huge amount to sensitise local communites and assist them in ensureing that interaction with gorillas is kept to a minium and Government Agencies who control access to protected areas. Uganda is now trying to roll out the same type of iniatives to help grow the numbers of animals in other part of the country. Below is a list of three organisations who are a the forefront of conservation and wildlife education in Uganda.
