Corona Virus Update
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are known to cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. There are various different types of test that one can take to detect whether you have COVID -19 or not. This can get a bit confusing but the standard accepted test is the PCR -Test. To find out more about the other tests please click here. Be sure you take the correct test as not all negative tests are accepted by airlines and immigration.
Both the Uganda Tourism Board and the Ministry of Health have released statements regarding the Ebola Virus. This has been followed by the President announcing restrictions on movement in the affected areas for 21 Days from the 15th October 2022

Standard Operating Procedures
The Ministry of Health in Uganda together with the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities and the Uganda Tourism Board have come up with Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) that govern tousrim activities.

Corona Virus Update - Uganda Wildlife Authority
The Uganda Wildlife Authority has issued various statements regarding the management of National Parks and Protected Areas as well as rules and regulations surrounding the cancellation, postponement and discounts of Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits as well as other tourism products.
